Hubble Volume:
The Hubble Volume project consisted of the simulation of 2 popular cosmologies each using 1 billion particles. These models are the Lambda Cold Dark Matter (LCDM) and the Tau Cold Dark Matter (tCDM). The latter of these describes a universe which has an energy density equal to that of the critical density with the entire contribution coming from matter elements, be it baryon or cold dark matter. The LCDM also has a total energy density equal to the critical density but has a 70% contribution from Dark Energy.
